In the past few decades LED display technology has been in blue, green years has made rapid development, because the epitaxial materials preparation technology to improve and optimize the design of the physical structure of the device, which dramatically changes the performance should be attributed to the continuous and a rapid decline in the cost of upgrading, the application areas and scale has also been a great development. However, the future is more challenging new areas of general lighting, LED technology further breakthrough is necessary, and this one will be more concentrated breakthrough on how to reduce the cost of using the LED display.

LED devices in terms of manufacturing costs relative to silicon devices is very high, mainly because of the size of the industry and technological development is far and silicon semiconductor industry. However, the reference mature development process of the semiconductor industry, we can expect the manufacturing cost of LED devices in the next 10 years will be a continued decline in space. The main contribution to the cost savings will focus relies on three parts:
